Taking the Bus/BART

AC Transit

Line 54M from Fruitvale BART Station or anywhere along 35th Avenue. The AC Transit bus loads and unloads in front of the campus near the flagpole.

Driving (free parking on the day of the conference)

From East Oakland

  1. Drive uphill on 35th Avenue.
  2. 35th Avenue becomes Redwood Road.
  3. Continue on Redwood Road, past MacArthur Blvd, past Hwy 580, past Hwy 13.
  4. Redwood Road goes steeply uphill
  5. Turn right onto Campus Drive.
  6. Continue steeply uphill.
  7. Merritt College is on your left.

From Downtown Oakland

  1. Take 880 South.
  2. Take the High Street exit, turn LEFT onto High Street, travel towards the hills.
  3. Turn left onto MacArthur Blvd.
  4. Turn right on Redwood Road.
  5. Continue on Redwood Road, past Hwy 13.
  6. Redwood Road goes steeply uphill
  7. Turn right onto Campus Drive.
  8. Continue steeply uphill.
  9. Merritt College is on your left.

from San Leandro, Fremont

  1. Take 880 North.
  2. Take the High Street exit, turn RIGHT onto High Street, travel towards the hills.
  3. Turn left onto MacArthur Blvd.
  4. Turn right on Redwood Road.

From San Francisco

  1. From the Bay Bridge, take Highway 580 East ("Hayward, Pleasanton")
  2. Take the 35th Avenue exit, turn LEFT onto 35th Avenue, travel towards the hills.
  3. 35th Avenue becomes Redwood Road.
  4. Continue on Redwood Road, past Hwy 13.
  5. Redwood Road goes steeply uphill
  6. Turn right onto Campus Drive.
  7. Continue steeply uphill.
  8. Merritt College is on your left.

From Berkeley, Walnut Creek

  1. From Hwy 24, junction onto Hwy 13 South
  2. Take the Redwood Road exit, turn LEFT onto Redwood Road.
  3. Redwood Road goes steeply uphill
  4. Turn right onto Campus Drive.
  5. Continue steeply uphill.
  6. Merritt College is on your left.

From Pleasanton

  1. Take Highway 580 West.
  2. Take the Carson Street Exit.
  3. Continue straight forward at the bottom of the exit ramp, onto Mountain Blvd.
  4. Turn right on Redwood Road.
  5. Redwood Road goes steeply uphill
  6. Turn right onto Campus Drive.
  7. Continue steeply uphill.
  8. Merritt College is on your left.
